Erica Jean
Erica Jean is originally from Seattle, Washington, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Dramatic Music Performance at Cornish College of the Arts. While at Cornish, Erica studied vocal jazz, opera, musical theater, acting, movement, dance, vocal production, speech, and performance production with Cornish’s elite professors, all of whom are successful working professionals in their respective fields.
Since moving to Eugene, in 2002, Erica has performed in over 30 musicals, plays, concerts, & film. Her favorite roles include; Evita Peron in EVITA; Meredith Parker in Bat Boy: The Musical; Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical the Musical; Countess Charlotte Malcom in A Little Night Music, and Carolyn Pearl in The Chocolate Tree. Erica made her off-broadway debute at New York Musical Theater Festival, as the leading lady, Monique Verdell in Pretty Faces: the Large and Lovely Musical. She also can be heard on the original cast recording for that show.
Since 2003, Erica has been teaching singing, acting and vocal performance privately. Erica’s students continue to audition successfully both locally as well as in AMDA, in New York and Los Angeles; Disney Studios in Florida; Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan; Occidental College in California; and at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Working to prepare her students for auditions and participate in role study. Erica works to support and guide each student in their discovery of how to perform at their own best level and find a natural, free and healthy sound whether speaking or singing.
