Stirring up literary play between youth & community since 1994!

Kids and teens exercise their imaginations in YWA workshops in school, after school, on school days off and in summer camps. They create stories and poetry that we share with the community in publications, on the web and on the radio. We encourage young minds to discover their creativity.

YWA builds excitement around literature and creative writing.

YWA provides…
• ACTIVITIES for elementary through high school students
• PROGRAMS to stimulate the joys of reading and writing with an interdisciplinary approach
• OPPORTUNITIES to inspire young writers through community connections YWA contributes to the cultural literacy of Lane County youth

Reading and writing are essential skills and a life-long pleasure.
YWA is an educational and charitable organization with a 501©3 tax-exempt status.
